Autumn Alford
Autumn Alford received her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Communications from Howard University in 2018. Upon graduating, Autumn worked as a Legislative Director for a New Jersey State Legislator in District 35 and remained there until her enrollment at Rutgers Law. At an early age, Autumn and her family experienced homelessness after being sought out by a predatory lending company. She became inspired to go to law school after her family experienced homelessness due to predatory lending practices. Her goal as a lawyer is to help others fight against the very same housing injustices her family faced. She hopes to use her law degree to help end the housing crisis, and help Black and Brown people battle housing discrimination. As a current 2L at Rutgers Newark, she serves as a MSP scholar, and the Vice President for the Association of Black Law Students.
