Jessica Dufort

Jessica Dufort is a native of Jersey City, New Jersey. She is a first-generation Haitian-American student and 2L at Rutgers Law School in Newark. Ms. Dufort received her B.A. in political science and communication from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She also holds a master’s degree in public policy with a focus in education and social policy from the Rutgers Bloustein School. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, as well as an active participant in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation—where she's a mentor and judge for mock congress competitions. Additionally, she has been a policy fellow for the National Black Child Development Institute. Jessica serves as the Coordinator of Policy and Research for Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson. At the law school, Jessica is the newly elected President of the Association of Black Law Students (ABLS). This summer, she assisted CLiME, by researching the foreclosure process with a special focus on resources and instruction for residents of Newark.
